How We Met:
We worked together on a construction project while at York
Hunter. This is the first time we met. Two and one half
years later - Dave rented a downstairs apartment to me. In
December 2001 we officially started to date.
How We Got Engaged:
New Years Eve 2003!!!! We both had the flu and turned
down a New Year's Eve celebration to stay home and rest.
However, we knew we definitely wanted to stay up to watch
the ball drop on TV, live from Times Square.
Around 11:30pm Dave thought it would be nice to open a bottle of champagne. Sick as we
were, we still thought it was a great idea! At midnight, Dave asked with champagne in
hand, 'Do you love me?' and I responded 'Of course I do, Papi', Dave then asked 'Do you
want to marry me?. My 'Yes of course!' prompted Dave to draw his college ring out of his
pocket and offered it to me to wear until the proper replacement was picked out.
Shopping for the ring was great!! We shared the excitement together in search of the
perfect ring (and yes, Dave got his college ring back).
